Classes are conducted in three formats, Active Webinar based (W), Classroom based (C) or Blended (B).
Active webinar-based classes are instructor-led, and provide group discussion and activities to build on the course material in a real-life application while we meet virtually. Classroom instruction is provided in-person. Blended classes combine an instructor-led webinar and an in-class component for skill development in a group setting.

8-Hour Hospital First Receiver
(C, B) $195
This course provides a basic overview of the hospitals role in emergency response; the function of a decon team in a CBRNE event; functioning under Hospital Incident Command; principles of contamination; the use of Level C Chemical Protective Clothing, Respiratory protection & PAPR’s; ambulatory and non-ambulatory decon; set up of a hospital decon; Students will participate in hands-on activities to develop competency with skills in donning & doffing PPE; decon practices of patients. This course meets the requirements for the OSHA training and has an annual training requirement. Participants must bring their company PPE for class use.
8-Hour HAZMAT Operations
(C, B) $195
This is an OSHA compliant course necessary for housekeeping/maintenance staff or anyone that will respond to do decontamination of surfaces, equipment and/or clean up spills. There is a hands on component: PPE use, site assessment, spill clean up and decontamination of surfaces activities to develop competency with skills. This course meets the requirements for the OSHA training and has an annual training requirement. Participants should bring their company PPE for class use.
24-Hour HAZMAT Technician
3 days (C, B) $585
This is an advanced response class for individuals that will have to patch or repair HAZMAT containers or active leaks, survey for Weapons of Mass Destruction, perform incident command duties, conduct a site assessment, develop a response plan, establish decon and terminate the incident. Emphases on applying practical skills for site-assessment, spill containment and clean up measures activities to develop competency with skills. This course meets the requirements for the OSHA training and has an annual training requirement Participants should bring their company PPE for class use. Pre-requisite – either 8-Hour response course.
8-Hour HAZMAT Supervisor
(C, B) $195
This course is an OSHA requirement for Emergency team leads. It provides leaders with the requirements of the regulations, training, evaluating hazards, selecting PPE, oversight of safety and team development. Class objectives conclude with an exercise. Pre-requisite-24-Tech or a 40 Hour HAZWOPER card issued in the past year.
8-Hour HAZMAT Specialist
(C, B) $195
This class is for advanced planning and evaluation of hazards for safety, environmental staff; In-depth hazard review & prevention; PPE selection & review, SDSs. How to read OSHA standards. Environmental hazards, regulatory compliance and prevention are also covered. Specific hazards including: CBRNE events; IDLH considerations. Students will participate in a hands-on evaluation of one or more scenarios, and develop a safety plan with a focus on skill competency. Pre-requisite-8-hour supervisor.
Highly Infectious Diseases
8 hours (C, B) $195
This is a course that outlines several of the key HID’s, protective measures, isolation practices, engineering controls and cleaning/disinfection. Practice with PPE, decon, contamination corridors and clean up. The focus is on focus on skill competency. Participants must bring their company PPE for class use.
Mercury Spills & Clean up
4 Hours (C, W, B) $95
Hospitals, schools and nursing homes are likely to have an old mercury thermometer around somewhere. When they break, the clean up is considered a hazmat response. This class is geared specifically towards clean up of small mercury spills to avoid cross-contamination. The focus is on skill competency. Pre-requisite 8-Hour Operations.
Radiological Response – Establishing Reception Centers
8 Hours (C, B) $195
In course, the requirements of when a Reception Center is needed, staffing, the roles and responsibilities; decon of people and vehicles. The FEMA requirement is to be able to process 20% of the expected population in 12 hours time. Consideration of staffing, special needs, pets and follow up care. Hands on practical exercise processing people through a reception center. The focus is on skill competency.
Respiratory Protection Program Management
8 Hours (C, W, B) $195
In this course, we will review the OSHA standards and the requirements for a respiratory protection program. The different types of respirators are reviewed, along with their protection factors; how to select an appropriate respirator based on the contamination; medical clearance, fit tests, training and program monitoring for compliance. A sample plan is included and completed during the class.
Respiratory Protection for Employees

This course provides training for end users of respiratory protection. When to use, how to use, limitations, donning & doffing, care, maintenance and emergency situations are covered. Can be combined with Code Pinke’s Respirator Fit Testing.
Confined Space Entry
8 Hours (C, B) $195
In this class, we review the definition of confined spaces, the use of permits, hazard assessment and elimination, use of meters and detection equipment. Ventilation, lock out/tag out & safe entry practices including PPE use is addressed. This includes a hands-on practical for a confined space entry simulation in order to develop skill competency.
Confined Space Rescue
8 Hours (C, B) $195
Addresses the requirements for a rescue team, when an individual must be retrieved from a confined space. The emphasis is on hands-on entry rescue techniques as a team to develop skill competency. Confined Space Entry is a prerequisite.
Fire Extinguishers
2 hours (C) $20 pp/minimum 12
Anyone that is expected to use a fire extinguisher at work must be trained annually. OSHA requirements, hazards and response to incipient fires; fire watch actions; hands on practice to develop competency.
OSHA Infection Control & Reducing Disease Transmission in the Workplace
8 hours (C, W, B) $195
In this class, we look at the OSHA Hierarchy of controls-engineering and administrative controls; HAZMAT principles of hot, warm and cold zones; use of personal protective equipment; and decon methods to minimize disease transmission. Participants will develop a checklist to ensure their organization has or can maximize their infection control practices including COVID-19.
Bloodborne Pathogens

This course covers the OSHA requirements to protect employees from illnesses related to blood and bodily fluids contact. Prevention, protection and basic clean up methods are covered.
Silica Management

This course covers the updates to the OSHA standards for respirable crystalline silica, hazards and program management to reduce employee exposures.
OSHA Recordkeeping
4 hours (C, W) $95
This course reviews the OSHA posting and recordkeeping requirements, including how to complete injury reports, OSHA logs and the yearly OSHA summary.
Hazard Communication Management
4 hours (C, W) $95
This course covers the OSHA requirements for the updates to the HAZCOM standard, including SDS management, reading an SDS and training for employees. Practice reading and interpreting SDS is conducted, along with a checklist for compliance.
OSHA 10 Hour for Construction
2 Days (C, W) $195
This course is for the construction worker and provides an overview of construction hazards. Topics covered include: Intro to OSHA; falls; struck by/caught between; health hazards; PPE; HAZCOM; electrical hazards; hand & power tools; stairways & ladders; and material handling. A 10-Hour OSHA Card for Construction is issued after successful completion.
OSHA 30 Hour 510 Course for Construction

This week long course is a more in-depth coverage of the OSHA standards and construction hazards. This course is geared towards lead workers, supervisors and managers. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA Construction Standards, construction safety and health principles, and special emphasis on those areas in construction which are most hazardous. Upon course completion students will have the ability to define construction terms found in the OSHA Construction Standards, identify hazards which occur in the construction industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA Construction Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of the OSHA Construction Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program. A 30 Hour OSHA Card is issued after successful completion.
National Incident Management System

Yes, you have all taken the on-line FEMA course 10 years ago. A few things have been changed since then. Review all of the components of NIMS-whole community, all hazards approach, resource management, Incident Command, Communications, Emergency Operations Centers, Joint Information Systems, and Multi-Agency Coordination.
Hazard Vulnerability Analysis

How do we determine the hazards, risks and priorities to work on? What about high consequence, but low likelihood events? This course addresses these questions. As a group, we will walk through conducting a HVA and identifying special considerations in your community. Participants will bring back with them a completed HVA to review with their planning teams in order to get buy in and support.
Practical Implementation of ICS

This class is for team leads, and includes how to identify people for roles; how the roles work and how it fits into managing events. This class includes practice with an evolving exercise scenario under an Incident Command System.

In this class, we review the roles of the incident command team. Team positions are assigned, and applied to a scenario. The focus is on practice of roles to develop skill competency.
Incident Command Roles – Advanced

This full day class takes an incident command team to the next level by applying the ICS process to a more complex scenario. The stakes are higher this time around, with a bit more realism. An After Action Review concludes the day.
Staffing an Emergency Operations Center

Your organization has been identified to staff a seat at your local/state Emergency Operations Center. What does it take to staff a desk for a disaster? Activations, staffing considerations, preparedness and employee training are a key focus. A checklist for you to implement an EOC team for your organization is included.
Location Emergency Action Plans

This course is for safety professionals looking to put together your organizations emergency plan. OSHA requires you have plans in place for basic emergencies, along with employees to assist with evacuations and other emergencies. In this class, the LEAP standard is reviewed. We go through how to establish Fire Wardens and Marshalls for each floor; their responsibilities; emergency response equipment necessary; how to use the equipment; hand-held radio use; the use of assembly points/safe areas; obtain accountability; addressing special needs in the evacuation process; considerations that would require an evacuation; the needs of your patients/residents/business; calculating lead-time & resources; order of evacuations, employee training; and practice of roles in an emergency scenario. Response to fire, tornados, hurricanes, lightening and earthquakes are specifically covered. The important aspect is to have pre-determined, measurable criteria to evaluate a situation to make the decision by a certain time or to plan for sheltering. Staff/patient/resident considerations are evaluated with a tabletop exercise scenario. A checklist, job action sheets are included.
Bomb Threats, Suspicious Packages & Mail

In this class we discuss basic protocols for handling bomb threats and suspicious packages. What to do if a bomb threat is called in; how to check for suspicious packages, conduct a SWEEP of your building, and work with law enforcement. In addition, how to identify and respond to suspicious mail or packages, is also covered. This class includes hands-on practice of phoned in threats, SWEEPing, and response to a suspicious package. The focus is on developing skill competency.

In this class we go through the components to minimize and manage an active shooter, or intruder in your work place. Notification, communication methods, response measures, and reunification are covered. A program template is included.

This is an American Heart Association class for health care professionals-CPR, pocket masks, bag ventilation, choking response and use of AED – adults, infant & children. A mandatory book is included. Upon successful completion, an AHA card is issued.
Heartsaver CPR/AED

This class covers basic CPR and AED use for coaches, boat captains, and designated first aiders. The use of a barrier, hands only-CPR and using an AED is covered. Upon successful completion, an AHA card is issued.
American Safety & Health Institute First aid & Advanced Bleeding Control

This first aid class is geared towards Boat Captains, Confined Space Rescuers, designated First Aiders, and others interested in learning basic first aid and bleeding control for severe injuries. OSHA requires someone trained in First Aid if medical care is more than 4 minutes away. Wound care, minor injuries & illnesses are addressed. Advanced bleeding control (gun shot wounds) is also covered. Skills practice and written materials are included.
HAZMAT Team Health Assessments
4 Hours (C, B) $195
In this class, we review the requirements for monitoring your HAZMAT teams vitals pre and post entry to ensure they are fit and are staying hydrated. Managing records, confidentiality, and how this relates to your medical programs is reviewed. Hands on practical for conducting vitals, including blood pressures is practiced to obtain competency. Pricing includes all equipment needed: BP cuff, scale, thermometer.
Triage

In a mass casualty event, patients will need to be rapidly assessed to determine the priority and order of care. This course goes through both START and SALT techniques, the steps of triage and how to read/use triage tags. A skills-based component is includes practical application of triage assessments in order to develop competency. A current basic first aid and CPR card is a pre-requisite.

How to implement an Emergency Preparedness Program

This is a multi-week course that walks participants through a providing step-by-step process including assignments for participants to implement an emergency management program, following the CMS requirements. For one day each week, each module provides specific take away assignments that build your EP plan and program. These include engaging senior management, developing a planning team; writing plans, and implementing training and exercises. Case studies included. Upon completion, participants have specific steps to continue moving forward with their program. Supplemental sessions are available for program maintenance, training, and exercises.
I’m in charge of safety, now what?
